- This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is issued by National Highways, inviting suppliers to participate in market engagement activities to inform and shape the development of the overall strategy for the replacement of the SDF.
There will be a number of market engagement activities, including, but not limited to:
1. A launch event to provide an overview of the forthcoming programme of works
2. A series of workshops to aid the development of SDF2 overall commercial and procurement strategy

Afterwards, three face-to-face workshops are due to take place on 20 and 27 November and 04 December 2024 across Birmingham, UK. Each day will be split into two sessions, and the proposed workshops will focus on topics as per the below:

Session 1 (AM) - Lotting model, including Principal Contractor
Session 2 (PM) - Commercial Model
Workshop Day 2 - 27 November 2024 (Millennium Point, B4 7XG)
Session 3 (AM) - Contract Options, including Insurances & Liabilities
Session 4 (PM) - Delivery, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) & Efficiencies, Programming, Design and Build
